Author Information

A native of California, Peter Gillies traveled widely before putting down roots on an island off the French coast. He is a writer of seriocomic fiction, children's stories and freewheeling exegeses, a singer-songwriting acoustic guitarist, and an art and photography and cinema aficionado. He is also a devoted baker who does his level best to keep his children well supplied with manna from his oven... As for Magdalena Adomeit, whose charming artwork brings the book to colourful life, she began her life in Germany with a pencil in hand and has been drawing ever since. A graduate of the University of Applied Sciences (HAW) in Hamburg, with a special focus on children's books, Maggie is today a traveling freelance illustrator for book and editorial illustration.
