Overview

When Blaze and Scoop learn that something mysterious is likely hidden inside a vacant old house, they decide to investigate. To help them with their search, they bring along Blaze's friend Cranky, a robot Blaze's grandfather built when he was young. After Cranky receives some needed updating, the three pals set out to discover the secret inside the old house. This chapter book contains ten charming original illustrations and interesting dialogue between the humans and their robot friend. Cranky has his own ""personality"" and ""opinions"" in the story. The story brings up some questions for possible discussion about technology, robotics, growing old, honesty, trust, friendship, and courage.
