Crafts, classes, and clubs. High school in Prospector's Rest, North Carolina is everything Lainey has ever hoped for--until the club funds go missing. As the first recipients of crafting scholarships in the tiny mountain town, Lainey Contreras and her brother, Kennedy, have been making friends, learning new skills, and having fun interacting with tourists and owners in the town's many, many craft stores. Her only usual concern is trying to keep her two giant Saint Bernard puppies from mowing down strangers on the electric scooter they've claimed as their own. Now, Lainey and her buddies in the Junior Crafting Club are even being given a booth at the town fête to sell their wares. But when the crafters and three other clubs find their money has been stolen, crafting and puppy wrangling have to (gasp!) take a backseat for a while. Along with her crafting pals, plus new friends from the Sunny Baking Champions (and occasional help from the Men Who Stitch), Lainey and Kennedy will have to put together the clues, so they can all enjoy their day at the fête. But, when one of their own starts acting suspicious, this may be harder than it sounds.
