Overview

"Who was responsible for Covid 19?Was the Wuhan Institute responsible for the epidemic? Did they deliberately manufacture a virus with the intention of releasing it on the world? This novel examines one possible scenario....Were the same people responsible for the development of the Sars virus, also as a bioweapon? As Dr George Fu Gao, Institute of Microbiology, Chinese Academy of Science, Chinese Centre for Disease Control said: ""SARS is a turning point in the history of laboratory biosafety in China...We had some lab leakage at that time... ""In 2015 a book written by Chinese military scientists and weapons experts was published entitled The Unnatural Origin of SARS And New Species of Man Made Viruses As Genetic Bioweapons, was published. This confirms that bioweapons were being produced in China as long ago as the early 2000s. This politico-scientific thriller, is based on the most likely scenario in which a Chinese bioweapons virus accidentally leaked from the military production facility at the Wuhan Institute of Virology, China, and was ultimately responsible for the global epidemic of Covid 19."

Reviews

This book is a fascinating account of how Covid 19 could have been developed prior to the world having to deal with its existence. It provides a deep thought provoking read. It is written with an excellent blend of science and fiction making it hard for the reader to work out which parts are factual and which are fictional. The characters, scenarios and plots all appear real as the author has used his substantive research background to insert credible scientific facts into the various storylines thus making the reader believe that they are immersed in the narrative. Following a dramatic opening the book, with its detailed twisting and turning plots and subplots, ensures that the reader is always wondering what will happen next right up until the last page. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book and strongly recommend it. Professor John SharpVisiting Professor of ManagementVisiting Professor of Organisational Excellence
