OverviewTransformation of economic structure from a manufacturing economy to a service economy requires that future employees must possess positive qualities, such as strong interpersonal and intrapersonal skills and good moral character. We argue that students can develop and practice their intrapersonal and interpersonal skills through a new concept called Service-Learning. Service-Learning contributes to personal growth through critical reflection. It is a service-oriented concept where students integrate community service with academic learning to foster meaningful outcomes for themselves and for the service participants. Specifically, this education can help students achieve personal development such as reducing their egocentrism and developing leadership qualities. We hope that with this book we can help build up theoretical and practical implications for social work practice, Service-Learning research and education with development and research in promoting undergraduate students’ service leadership qualities, positive youth development and psychological well-being with particular reference to online Service-Learning.
