Jana Hletko has been a creative educator and was the Teacher of the Year for Georgetown County (SC) in 1999-2000 and the Journalism Teacher of the Year (SC) in 2005. She was one of the first teachers in the country to attain certification from the National Board of Professional Teaching Standards.
