Ah The Country Life! Manila Shine is a new name in the genre of refreshing adult coloring books, and the quality of this new publication indicates that this is a valuable new resource. Arriving to the public during this period of angst and isolation, this coloring book provides a healthy escape from the tensions by allowing the 'artist' to complete the excellent drawings with color and in doing so advance potential latent artistic tendencies into fine finished 'paintings.' The drawings provided are of lyrical country farm settings - animals and people interacting with nature and the products of that interaction such as vegetables and fruits being gathered and enjoyed. Not only are the drawings excellent: they are presented in duplicate, allowing the coloring artist to keep one for the home and to share the other with friends. The presentation is thoughtful (black-backed pages to prevent bleed through) as well as thought provoking! Tune in to the beauty and charm and peace of country life - a very fine diversion and worthy exercise. I not only have Fibromyalgia but several other neurological conditions that I find the books helps me focus on something else besides the pain. It helps me also with hand to eye coordination. Also kids love these books. When my nephews and nieces are visiting I throw the coloring pencils and pens on the dining room table with popcorn and juice it's a party. This coloring book I loved for the detailed pictures. I grew up on a farm so most of these pictures are familiar.
