上个世纪七、八十年代，作者曾是个""手风琴迷""。当时手头并不富裕，甚至有些窘迫；但作者还是动用了多年积攒的钱，花费人民币五百多元（这在七十年代是个不小的数字）买了一台120贝斯的手风琴。从此只要有新出版的手风琴曲，作者就会买回来，每日挤时间练琴。 作者当时发现外国的手风琴名曲甚多，中国人写的手风琴曲要少得多，而运用中国民族音调采用对位手法写的手风琴曲就更少，因此就动念自己动手写一些这类的乐曲；但由于忙和多种因素，真正动手执笔则开始于八十年代末，而且断断续续写得很少。作者现保留的这些手风琴曲，主要完成于九十年代，基本定型于上世纪末，即为本书成果。这代表作者的一份虔诚、一份热心，希望对手风琴音乐感兴趣的朋友予以支持、帮助，不吝指出其中的问题。 莽克榮 1936年9月生於北京。1958年畢業於北京師範大學音樂系。一生從事音樂教育工作，河北廊坊師範學院退休教師。在國家級、省級報刊上發表論文、聲樂作品數十篇（首），多次在全國性比賽中獲金銀獎，一、二、三等獎。著有《老志誠傳》、《大音樂家的小故事》、《輝煌的音樂人生----紀念老志誠百年專輯》等書。個人業績被收入《世界名人錄》、《中國當代音樂藝術家大典》、《中國教育家大辭典》等百餘種大型辭書中。
