OverviewThis dissertation examines the impact of counterfeiting on the economy and the population. The most important information relating to the impact of counterfeiting is given in the literature review. Emphasis is put on the criminal activities and problems caused by the purchase of counterfeits. Increasing problems and the loss of sales profits make it necessary not only for international brand owners, but also for the government to find out the reasons for the purchase of counterfeits all over the world. Furthermore, the often not known consequences caused by counterfeiting are demonstrated. The question whether customers buy counterfeits and the reasons behind the purchase is analysed with the adoption of a questionnaire. This research study intends to find out who is more responsible for the increasing damage through counterfeits - those who distribute or those who purchase forged products. Moreover, possible solutions with regards to the problem are suggested and evaluated. Full Product DetailsAuthor: Katrin NitschePublisher: VDM Verlag Dr. Mueller e.K.
