Overview

Life for South African detective William Granger starts with death. His hobbies are archaeology and mythology. The disappearance of Sophia Brooks leads him to Mpumalanga (the Place Where the Sun Rises). He finds skeletal remains in a dilapidated farmhouse. The cellar collapses leaving William crippled and claustrophobic. The case seems dead. Then Bullion Mining unearths a mass grave in Mpumalanga's mystical Makhonjwa Mountains (the Mountains that Show the Way) and William is ordered to investigate. The skeletons are in a man-made cavern containing ancient symbols that will create chaos with present day cultural and religious beliefs.
