Overview'The Jewels of Miriam Haskell' is devoted to the story of Miriam Haskell, one of America's most distinguished fashion jewellery houses, which was founded by Haskell in 1924. Over 200 examples (necklaces, brooches, bracelets, earrings and parures) from the most significant European and American collections illustrate the styles of the small number of designers who were associated with the House. Creativity, technical skill and the varied sources of inspiration have made Miriam Haskell pieces the undisputed stars of period jewellery collections. Among her clients were high society women and show business personalities such as Joan Crawford (who bought her designs every year from 1930 onwards), Wallis Simpson, Diane Keaton and Lucille Ball. This is an unmissable work of reference for collectors of period jewellery, for fashion designers and for everyone who is interested in the decorative arts.
