OverviewEleven-year-old Matt Molina's hyperactivity is a problem at school, causes conflict at home, and prevents him from bonding with his dad. Inspired by his globetrotting grandmother, who encourages him to expand his horizons, Matt creates an alter ego-COSMOTROTTER (Trotter) and sets off in search of adventure. While preparing for his first journey, he's transported to Planet Om, where the Om Beings warn him of the perils he'll face from the Planet of Doom (POD) bullies. Trotter decides to take his chances because his quest will allow him to escape his parents' bickering, visit new worlds, and make new friends. After many scary encounters with the PODsters, they kidnap him and trap him in their dark planet. While they taunt and torment him, they give him a glimpse of his father lying in a hospital bed. Is the scene just another Doomer trick or could time be running out for his dad, just when Matt thought they may finally have found a common interest-soccer? He needs to get back to his dad pronto. First, though, he must confront the POD leader and convince him to stop harassing him, his friends, and future generations of dreamers and explorers. But how?
