Table of ContentsReviewsAuthor Information"Yair Meshoulam is a maker of beautiful and extraordinary paintings and installations, as well as a part-time guitarist, and self-proclaimed 'King of Wallpaper'. Born n Haifa in 1963, he has lived in London since 1966. He studied at The Royal College of Art (MA Painting 1986-88), and at The Ruskin School of Drawing and Fine Art (BFA 1982-5) where he won a scholarship from St Edmund Hall, Oxford University. He has been a professional artist since his training, currently with a studio in West Norwood. He has exhibited extensively in London, the UK and with the British Council in Berlin.The paintings are mainly on board and on paper, with maximum dimensions of 1 metre. The subject matter ranges from the mythological to the magical to the mystical but in a contemporary or timeless setting. The style is figurative from the imagination -surreal, symbolic, magic realist - label it how you will. The influences on his work range from Magritte to Matisse to Redon. An art critic and curator for contemporary arts working in Berlin and internationally. After studying languages and cultural studies at the State Universities in Tbilisi, Georgia and at the State University of Vienna she was awarded DAAD Scholarship for research at the Humboldt-University Berlin, where she obtained her PhD Degree. Dr Fürstenow is the founder of the ARE/Artistic Research Encounters, which is the online platform offering virtual exhibitions for artists across the world and supporting creative exchange between art critics, artists and collectors. In her curatorial projects she focuses on museum collections and possibilities of artistic interventions, on the role of art in contemporary societies and on the challenges of arts and science. She has organised and co-curated exhibitions in various museums and institutions in Europe, including Museum Reinickendorf and Museum Domäne Dahlem in Berlin, Teater am Olgaeck in Stuttgart, Palazzo Zenobio in Venice and others. His book ""Human Interactions"" is the only theory of organisational collaboration based on formal principles. His social enterprises aim to improve society via collaboration theory, the latest being stakeitback, tech to unlock new sources of investment into communities. He plays jazz on piano, traditional folk on English concertina, and composes in multiple genres.
