A recipient of the Templeton Prize in Religion, Barbour is author of When Science Meets Religion (2000) and Religion and Science: Historical and Contemporary Issues (1997). Robert John Russell is the Ian G. Barbour Professor of Theology and Science in Residence at Graduate Theological Union, Berkeley, and Founder and Director of the Center for Theology and the Natural Sciences (CTNS) there.
