OverviewIn this book is presented an expanded treatment of the relativistic light and mass sails featured in the previous volumes of this series. Several additional degrees of oscillatory motion are considered. Each of these oscillatory components is assumed to be relativistic in the spacecraft translational reference frame. The energy gains of the spacecraft are modeled for time dilation, relativistic energy and matter wave Doppler shifting, radiative losses, and relativistic aberration. Straight forward but lengthy formulations for accrued kinetic energy are presented in combination analytic and numerical expressions using differential and integral equations.
