JOHN SEDRIKS is an internationally recognized researcher who specializes in corrosion control by metallurgical modifications. He is responsible for corrosion research at the Office of Naval Research, Arlington, Virginia, where he has worked since 1984. His previous affiliations included Inco's Research and Development Centers in New York and in England, Martin-Marietta's Research Institute for Advanced Studies in Baltimore, and the Defense Standards Laboratories in Sydney, Australia. He was involved in the development of Inconel alloy 690 and other alloys, and in corrosion programs for nuclear power plants, among other projects.
