Cool Kids Speak English has been written with primary school aged children in mind (7-11 year olds) by a qualified and experienced foreign languages teacher. This book is filled full of fun worksheets, wonderful word searches and lovely colouring pages and is ideal for children learning English as a foreign language. Book 2 covers the topics of fruit, pencil case & books, months & seasons, transport, drinks and the house. It also reviews numbers 1-10 and colours. Each topic begins with a page full of images and the English words for the topic. Progression throughout each of the topics has been carefully planned as the activities practice only a few of the new words at any one time, and gradually introduce simple sentence structures. At the back of the book there is the answer section. Learning a new foreign language at an early age can be an enjoyable and useful experience, and this book would be a great way for any child to learn English. Joanne Leyland is a qualified and experienced foreign languages teacher, and really enjoys teaching foreign languages in primary schools.
