Pat Alvarado is a native of Abbeville, Louisiana, USA, where swamps and bayous reign and there is a recipe for everything! Now she resides in Panama, the tropical paradise, where she continues to witness Nature's bountiful goodness, but she knows that a cookie doesn't have to be perfect to taste wonderful. Emily Haworth is beekeeper with a bee farm in the small town of Boquete in the hills of Western Panama. At her farm, they extract and make honey under the brand Miel Boqueteña(TM). There you can buy honey and take a Bee and Honey Tour to taste their large selection of honey and learn more about their pollinators. I have been drawing since I was three years old. At first, a normal thing for any kid, the difference is, I never stopped. I have a variety of sketchbooks, some from a long time ago and others more recent. The beautiful jungles and beaches of my home country Panama and the clear star-lit nights I encountered in Taos, New Mexico, many years ago, inspire me.
