Author Information

Ann Ortiz is a native of North Carolina. Her undergraduate work was in music with a concentration in piano and music therapy and a minor in Latin American Studies at East Carolina University. She received the MA from the University of Arizona in Latin American Studies and the PhD in Spanish American Literature at the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill.  She teaches Spanish language courses, Medical Spanish, and Interpretation at Campbell University in NC.Michelle Vazquez improves health outcomes through bilingual health education and care coordination. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology and a Master of Science in Public Health from Campbell University. In her free time, she enjoys nature walks and watching movies with friends and family.
