OverviewThe book should be inspirational to any graphic designer, student of graphic design, teacher of graphic design, writer, poet and/or student of politics that would enjoy learning about global issues in a different way from what traditional mass media (television and newspaper) expose us to. Since the book is socially conscious it will speak to any social-political non for profit organizations, for example Amnesty International, who also fight for human rights. Many graphic design books are currently available, but none that juxtaposes poetics and the visual language of graphic design so cohesively. The book challenges designers to leave their comfort zone to become “part poet” thereby having the potential to meld two communities into one. We project as our society is more digitized, any product released to it has more potential to transform itself into digital noise rendering the product itself ineffective. Effectiveness is the key and printed material is hands down more effective. The hope is for the book to appeal to a broad readership. If spacetime is right, any work can permeate though the consciousness of society.
