Contemporary Issues in Digital Communication, Media, and Culture

Overview

In an age where technology shapes human interaction, contemporary issues in digital communication, media, and culture become complex. From the rise of social media algorithms influencing public opinion to concerns about data privacy, misinformation, and digital surveillance, today's digital landscape presents both new opportunities and critical challenges. These issues affect how individuals connect, how cultures evolve, and how societies function globally. Understanding and analyzing these dynamics may help navigate the ethical, social, and political implications of life in a digital world. Contemporary Issues in Digital Communication, Media, and Culture explores the intersection of computer science and social sciences, examining how computational methods analyze, interpret, and shape the disciplines of communication, media, and culture. It examines the theoretical foundations, methodologies, and applications of computational techniques in understanding and influencing human communication and cultural phenomena. This book covers topics such as social media, artificial intelligence, and information technology, and is a useful resource for media and communications professionals, engineers, sociologists, academicians, researchers, and scientists.
