Author Information

The pages of this Constitution and By-Laws were established for the members of the Everlasting Gospel Institute (E.G.I.) and have been revised through the years. Olive Chapel (E.G.I.) founded by Sr. Pastor Lorene Goins, is a small way station chapel in the hills of southeastern Ohio. In 1953, Pastor Goins was called to preach while on her knees in church praying. She heard the voice of God say, Go forth and preach my gospel. For twenty years, she faithfully served as assistant minister, then pastor in the World Peace Healing Institute, Inc. She lived and learned ministry constitutions and by-laws. In the summer of 1974, God revealed He wanted her to organize a religious movement in the Sharpsburg/Bartlett, Ohio area. Under much adversity, this God-given plan began to materialize. In October 1975, with her husband - master builder, Willmore Goins, she left family and friends, and moved to their new land of promise. With this new ministry, these constitutional guidelines evolved. They are simple and direct, and can be used as a blueprint for newly established ministries. Pastor Goins prays that her humble efforts will assist your ministry in some small way.
