Travis shares how he feels the entire world is conspiring against him to try and rid autism and himself from the world. Travis only has one hope of being a real person in a world that hates him and that hope is in the way of a best friend who is neurotypical and appreciates him. Travis shares what it is like to get counseling from people he thinks are trying to kill him all while trying to live. Travis tries to separate what is real from what is not real but it is very challenging for him.He has trouble enjoying life anymore due to all of the voices and hallucinations and there are many things that he used to do as a child that he can no longer do. He is staying very positive and helpful though. He has a hard time making friends but he continues to put himself out there. Travis talks a lot in this book about how conflicting and challenging it is to try and make friends when you want to be social but your sensory issues, your voices, your hallucinations, and your delusions make you feel so bad that it is hard to even go out and socialize. Travis shares how he thinks people are waiting outside his door when he leaves his home ready to shoot and kill him eery day. Travis lives a very paranoid lifestyle and it is hopeful that with medication he can return back to a normal lifestyle.
