He has received the Mohammed bin Zayed species conservation grant to help safeguard India's red pandas.Mukesh Thakur's research seamlessly merges the fields of wildlife ecology and population genetics theory. His research also explores the genetic consequences of species reintroduction programs, and the role of genetic diversity in wildlife management and conservation initiatives. Lalit Kumar Sharma is a scientist at the Zoological Survey of India, and has 15 years of experience as a wildlife biologist. He also educates aspiring conservationists and spearheads ground-breaking training programs across the Himalayan region.
