Barb has indulged endless interests. She worked at Legal Aid for many years, served on the Colorado Child Support Commission and coauthored a pro-se child support guide for the Colorado Bar Association. Barb learned mediation at Center for Dispute Resolution. She's worn many hats in the nonprofit sector. She's helped people with disabilities, mental health conditions and crushing poverty find work and access resources. In training seminars, Barb teaches people practical ways to communicate, solve problems and handle conflict. More than 100 literary journals have published Barb's poetry. She taught writing at several Colorado colleges and served on the Board of the Colorado Author's League.
