Previously, he served as senior editor of Boating (for seven years), Power & Motoryacht, and Marine Log magazines. Holder of a USCG 100-ton (offshore) Masters license for 31 years, he worked for 15 years as a world-wide delivery skipper and has performed seven transatlantic crossings.
