Overview

Confessions from Depression Island is a collection of unique confessional free verse poems that step outside the box of traditional poetry to talk directly to readers struggling with mental illness. Those of us who do have all been to Depression Island before and we know how lonely and isolating it can be. These poems are meant to let the reader know they are not alone and hopefully it would be something they could relate to. It's not meant to be sad or depressing, but to speak openly about the challenges of depression or any other type of mental illness such as anxiety, borderline personality disorder, PTSD, agoraphobia, addiction and more. I hope by reading this, it helps someone know they are not alone.
