Conditions for the formation of scheelite-bearing metasomatites in Tajikistan

Overview

The mineralogical, thermobaric, and geochemical characteristics of the formation of the main scheelite-bearing deposits in Tajikistan-Chorukh-Dayron, Jilau, Gizhdarva, Maykhura, and Ikar-have been studied. It has been shown that scheelite ores in the studied deposits are mainly associated with calcite-quartz-feldspar metasomatites. The thermobarogeochemical parameters of the formation of scheelite-bearing metasomatites-temperature, pressure, composition, and concentrations of mineral- and ore-forming solutions-were determined mainly based on the study of fluid inclusions in minerals. It has been established that, along with magmatic (plutogenic) processes, metamorphogenic-hydrothermal processes played an important role in the formation of scheelite-bearing metamorphic rocks with gold. The carbonatite nature of the formation of the Ikar gold-scheelite deposit and in the Western Pamirs has been demonstrated.
