Overview

Reviews of key topics in concrete technology are presented by 26 of the leading researchers and engineers currently working in the field of concrete technology. This book forms the Proceedings of the International RILEM Workshop on Technology Transfer of the New Trends in Concrete held in Barcelona in November 1994. Over the past few years, several international conferences and workshops have examined the new trends in concrete research and implications for future technology. Though some collaboration between research centres and industry continues actively, the gap between cutting-edge scientific developments and technological implementation continues to widen. The essays and reviews in this volume will serve as an international base for the incorporation of recent research results in concrete technology into industry in the near future.
