OverviewConcerto-Variations in e minor op.3 by Tanya Shevtsova was written in 2007 and first performed at the Vancouver Russian Music Festival. The orchestral debut took place at Vancouver Chan Centre Concert Hall in February 2014 and was a big success. Concerto- Variations is composed in the style of ostinato variations on the original theme, which combines some baroque music elements with traditional Russian music character. A variety of genres, used in the Concerto-Variations op. 3 - Toccata, Minuet, Choral, Berceuse, Spanish Dance -introduces young children to the music of different styles and national characters. The Concerto is excellent choice for young, ambitious students, who achieved level 8/9 according to Toronto Royal Conservatory of Music syllabus.
