Much gratitude to Roberts for making accessible these seminal twentieth-century provocations from Mennonite intellectuals, and for combining those perspectives with erudite responses from contemporary Anabaptist scholars. Those of us who still care about the church and/in the world, and who love the church in spite of it being a treasure in earthen vessels, will benefit immensely from this (re)examination of still-relevant challenges.
