OverviewThe monograph examines the ways of representation of the concepts ""Good"" and ""Evil"" as universals of human thinking in terms of cognitive linguistics, reveals their content characteristics on the basis of their verbal objectivization in the language of Ch. Aitmatov (on the material of the novels ""Plakha"", ""And the Day Lasts Longer than a Century"", ""Tavro Cassandra"", ""When Mountains Fall""). The linguocognitive description of individual-author concept ""Evil"" and ""Good"" is also given. The study of individual-authorial concepts reveals the very system of the hierarchy of value orientations of the creative linguistic personality. Individual value priorities do not always coincide with the value priorities generally accepted in society. The theory of frames is presented in the monograph as a method of describing texts in terms of static and dynamic frames at the paradigmatic and syntagmatic levels on the material of Ch. Aitmatov's works. The methodology of frame analysis of artistic texts is proposed and its main stages are highlighted. The conceptual component of the concept ""Good"" characterizes everything positive, light, pleasant, useful, i.e. good deeds, deeds that bring benefit.
