Author Information

Dr Louise Goddard-Crawley is a chartered psychologist with over 20 years' experience working as a health professional. With a special interest in the psychology of health, Louise works from her private practise in Marylebone seeing a varied range of mental health presentations. Louise works with a number of women, men and couples who have been affected by infertility and miscarriage. Her focus on fertility stems from her experience with a leading London fertility clinic, where she worked as the deputy nurse manager for a decade. It is this unique marriage of her experience at the clinic coupled with her psychology training that has led to this book. Louise completed her first degree in Health & Human Sciences in 1994, where she qualified as a nurse. She worked as a nurse in a variety of settings, spending a number of years working in A&E. Very much like the essence of the book, she then focused her attention from the physical towards the psychological and undertook an undergraduate degree in Psychology at Liverpool University in 2004. She later completed her master's degree in Health Psychology at Liverpool John Moores University prior to undertaking a Professional Doctorate in Counselling Psychology at the University of East London. If you've experienced difficulty in becoming pregnant or maintaining your pregnancy, Louise's new psychological approach could well hold the key to unblocking your unconscious and bringing you closer to the baby you so strongly desire.
