Computing with Words: An Introduction to Fuzzy Logic Use-Cases with Theory and Applications

Overview

This introductory textbook presents the fundamentals of computing with words, a concept rooted in fuzzy logic that provides greater flexibility in automation technology, control engineering, logistics, and electrical engineering. It is designed for readers who are not only interested in understanding the potential of this promising technology but also in exploring its practical implementation. To celebrate the 30th anniversary, this translated, renewed and prolonged edition has been expanded to include an introduction to fuzzy design science research (chapter 1) and computing with words (chapter 11).
