Author Information

Maria Luminița Scutaru is a Professor in Mechanical Engineering and the Head of the Mechanical Engineering Department at Transilvania University of Brașov, Romania. She completed her Master's degree in Computational Mechanics, Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering, and Habilitation in Mechanical Engineering at the same university. She holds a Doctorate in Industrial Engineering and another Doctorate in Mechanical Engineering. The research focuses on multibody systems, analytical mechanics, innovative materials (author of over 100 refereed journal papers, 1 book chapter, and 5 specialized books). Professor Polidor Bratu is a full University Professor at the ""Dunărea de Jos"" University of Galați and as a President - General Director of the ICECON Research Institute for Construction Equipment and Technologies of Bucharest. Since 1998 he has been a member of the Romanian Academy of Technical Sciences and President of the ""Technical Mechanics"" department. Since 1994 he has been the President of the Romanian Society of Acoustics and Vibrations, and since 2010 has been the President of the Romanian Societies of Theoretical and Applied MecResearch and development scientific activity I. “Civil engineering, roads and bridges” II. “Industry and construction technology” III. ”Structural protection, resistance and stability. Human Personnel Protection” IV. ""Physical, rheological and numerical modelling of the behaviour of composite materials, devices, processes and systems"" Andreas Öchsner is Full Professor of Lightweight Design and Structural Simulation at Esslingen University of Applied Sciences. He spent seven years as Full Professor at the Technical University of Malaysia, where he was also Head of the Advanced Materials and Structure Lab. From 2014 to 2017 he was Full Professor at the Griffith University, and Leader of the Mechanical Engineering Program. He is the author and co-author of over 294 refereed journal papers, over 70 conference papers and 28 book-chapters in the area of advanced materials and structures. Furthermore, he is the author and co-author of 45 books and 18 research monographs.
