Charlie Llewellen Palmer was born in 1967 in Chippenham, son of Colonel Tim, world war two veteran and landowner and Cynthia Graham Menzies from Perthshire. He went to Harrow and in his youth played semi professional polo and went hunting. He lives with his wife and four children on an isolated farm by Andoversford in the north Cotswolds. His principal calling was to retail financial services where he founded a national financial advice company which he sold in 2015, and an industry consulting firm. He has worked on three published pieces, The Beaufort Hunt Diaries 2004, the acclaimed Letters from the Front. Celebrating 100 years since the most critical battle of the 20th Century - The Retreat from Mons and in 2015 Journey East.
