He is editor and publisher of Keno Newsletter, the ""official"" keno publication read by casino executives and keno players, a keno consultant for Las Vegas and Atlantic City casinos, and the creator of the Keno Analyst- computer software used by casinos to develop new keno tickets and compute house percentages of the game. He also writes a keno column for the weekly Gaming Today. Cowles has more than 3,000 keno tickets from every southern Nevada casino stored in his computer's data base. Cowles is also the creator and developer of the Word Wizard word processor for Wang 2200 series computers."
