OverviewLittle Wandle Code ensures effective reading intervention in early KS3. It is an all-in-one, fully resourced phonics intervention and assessment programme, accompanied by 10 age-appropriate fully decodable anthologies and 3 workbooks, to support students who are not meeting age-related expectations when they begin secondary school. The Disappearance of January Dustand Other Stories is the final anthology for the Complete the Code pathway. It is designed for students who may have gaps in their phonic knowledge which might be masked by coping strategies. The fully decodable anthology includes 4 texts for Unit 14 in Complete the Code. Table of ContentsReviewsAuthor InformationSamantha Montgomerie is an author who loves writing for young people. She has written a number of educational readers, middle grade fiction and poetry. She has numerous poems published for adults, found in various anthologies and literary journals. She has worked for over 25 years as an English teacher, and loves seeing young people engrossed in great stories. She lives in New Zealand, where she likes to wander, letting the salt-laced air inspire great plotlines and poetry. Oliver is an award-winning author, poet and writer/performer. His critically-acclaimed debut children's poetry collection, We Are Family: Six Kids and a Super-Dad was published in May 2024 by Otter-Barry Books. His debut children’s novella, Alfie’s First Fight, won Best Illustrated Young Reader at the 2023 Children’s Literature Festivals’ Book Awards, and Alex Wheatle MBE described it as “Compelling!” When he isn’t writing, Oliver can usually be found performing his stories and poems and facilitating workshops all across the world. Oliver co-runs Your Story, a non-profit organisation based in Denbigh which collaborates with and for communities to discover and creatively share stories.
