Author Information

Laura Shane-McWhorter, PharmD, CDE, BCPS, BC-ADM, is a Professor (Clinical) in the College of Pharmacy, Department of Pharmacotherapy, of the University of Utah (Salt Lake City) and a Registered Pharmacist in the state of Utah. She has written chapters on complementary and alternative medicine for the American Association of Diabetes Educators' Core Curriculum and published numerous articles in American Diabetes Association journals. She also teaches classes on herbal medicines at the University of Utah.
