Overview

Compass is a collection of impressions rather than a finished work, messy verses of vivid imagery rather than realistic depictions. Each piece aims to capture the fleeting nature of a moment: the sensory effect of a scene from the author's life rather than its detailed accuracy. This impressionistic style of writing allows the reader to feel and experience each verse as if it were their own. Impressionist poetry is merely a guide, a compass. The reader's physical and emotional response completes the work. Inside Compass, the reader will find a gathering of light and dark themes; from generational curses of addiction and suicide, to a beautiful shadowy romance, and unrequited love.
