This book aims at an exploration of Chinese literary studies in comparative, cross-cultural, transnational, and global contexts. Author Information

Zhang Longxi is a Chair Professor at Hunan Normal University and the Yenching Academy of Peking University. He is a foreign member of the Swedish Academy of Letters and Academia Europaea, and author of 30 books in East-West comparative studies. Sheldon Lu is Distinguished Professor of Comparative Literature at the University of California at Davis and served as Department Chair of Comparative Literature and Director of Film Studies. He has published extensively on Chinese literature, comparative literature, and film.
