OverviewCurrently, worker exposure to electrical installations is a major issue addressed worldwide by companies. To ensure that their work activities are carried out safely, Regulatory Standards were created in 1978, establishing the minimum requirements and conditions for the implementation of control measures and preventive systems for the health and safety of workers who directly or indirectly interact with electrical installations and services. Regulatory Standard No. 10 (NR 10). Over the years, some of these have been updated and others have been created. With regard to accident risks in the Electric Power Sector, an in-depth study on the standardization of safety standards in substations is noteworthy. Therefore, the objective of this study was to analyze the old NR 10 (1978) and compare it with the new one (2004) implemented in substations in the Electric Power Sector, showing the strengths of the latter in relation to the former in accordance with the legislation, in order to contribute to improving the safety and quality of life of professionals in this sector.
