His research interests cover company law, corporate governance and corporations and human rights. He is the European Editor of the Company and Securities Law Journal, an advisor to Amnesty International's Business Group on their corporate accountability campaign and a member of the International Advisory Committee to the South African Department of Trade and Industry Company Law Review. John Lowry has taught law in the USA (New Jersey) and practised in Canada specialising in corporate litigation. He has written widely in domestic and international journals on directors' fiduciary obligations, shareholder remedies and insurance law.
