Fredrick White holds the position as Assistant Director of Sponsored Programs and Research at Tougaloo College where he oversees the college's grant/contract portfolio in excess of $13 million dollars per year. He also conducts grant training workshops to faculty and staff on proposal development and grant compliance. Originally from the Mississippi Delta, he received his Bachelor's degree from Mississippi Valley State University, a Master's Degree in Public Policy and Administration and a doctoral degree in Community College Leadership from Mississippi State University. Prior to coming to Tougaloo College, he served as Fiscal Director to the Partnership for a Healthy Mississippi (PHM) and Loan Specialist/Program Specialist at the Central Mississippi Planning and Development District (CMPDD). His summary of qualifications includes: fiscal management, management and administration, grant writing, contract negotiations, human resource management, research/grant administration, evaluation, human subjects' protection, education and fundraising.
