Mitchell is a pioneer in satellite communications starting with President Eisenhower's Christmas greeting via Army Signal Corps Orbiting Relay Equipment project SCORE on December 18, 1958 to his retirement from the RCA ASTRO Division working with NASA in April 1991. From the USS Brister DER 327 Navy ship to the successful launch of the (RCA) Radio Corporation of America NOAA-G satellite spacecraft, John M. Mitchell has played a significant role in our nations history.
