OverviewThis volume provides a description of the judicial activity of the International Court of Justice (ICJ) between January 1st 1987 and December 31st 1996. Following an introductory chapter describing the role and procedures of the ICJ, ten further chapters contain the commentaries of 13 mainly American international lawyers on the 12 Judgments and five Advisory Opinions rendered by the ICJ between 1987 and 1996. Each commentary describes the facts of a particular case, the arguments of the parties involved and the decision of the ICJ.
