OverviewChris Terrill is a 55-year old documentary maker, who after a lifetime of challenging film assignments in the world's hot spots might have opted for the easy life. But when the Royal Navy invited him to join a group of 18 year old recruits in the grueling basic training at the Royal Marine Commando base at Lympstone in Devon he never flinched. He wanted to understand what it was to become one of the Armed Services elite forces, what mindset was required to undergo an ordeal for which the Marine slogan goes 99.99% need not apply .
