Jon B. Cooke is the editor of COMIC BOOK CREATOR magazine and author of numerous books on comics history, including THE WARREN COMPANION, THE BOOK OF WEIRDO, THE CHARLTON COMPANION, and THE PACIFIC COMICS COMPANION, with numerous forthcoming books. His COMIC BOOK ARTIST magazine [1998-2005] received five consecutive Eisner Awards for ""Best Comics-Related Periodical,"" and he is the writer and producer of the documentary WILL EISNER: PORTRAIT OF A SEQUENTIAL ARTIST. Father of three sons, he resides in southern Rhode Island with his wife, Beth, and too many pets. S.C. ""Steve"" Ringgenberg matriculated through the Creative Writing program at the University of Arizona and has been a freelance writer for more than thirty years. In that time he has interviewed over 200 people, including comics professionals from every facet of the industry including Frank Miller, Joe Kubert, Harvey Kurtzman, Todd MacFarlane, Archie Goodwin, Gil Kane, Jerry Robinson, and illustrators like Frank Frazetta, Robert McCall, Ken Kelly, Jeff Jones, William Stout, plus film industry personalities such as Syd Mead, Stan Winston, Tony Todd, Brinke Stevens, and others. A lifelong space buff, he even interviewed two Apollo astronauts, Pete Conrad and Alan Bean. Among his many published works, he has written comics scripts and articles for DC, Marvel, Bongo Comics, Heavy Metal, and Dark Horse.
