Reviews

""There's a term we use in the west, the genuine article, and those words fit Reavis Z. Wortham to a Texas T."" -Craig Johnson, #1 New York Times Bestselling Author of the Walt Longmire Mystery Series ""Clear a space on your bookshelves, folks, because the real deal has arrived."" -John Gilstrap, New York Times Bestselling Author of Threat Warning and Damage Control ""Groundbreaking! Comancheria is a brilliant and unique new take on the Western myth. By turns moving, action-packed, and harrowing, this tale of a quest (and who doesn't love them?) keeps you turning pages like there's no tomorrow. Buck Dallas and Lane Newsome are true classic heroes and are so authentic that we feel we must've met them in real life. No pressure, Reavis, but I want more. Now. Bravo!"" -Jeffery Deaver, #1 New York Times Bestselling Author of the Colter Shaw novels, the basis for CBS's prime time show, Tracker ""Horror goes hat-in-hand with grisly tales of the Old West, and Reavis Z. Wortham knows how to keep you turning the pages and having bad dreams."" -C.J. Box, #1 New York Times Bestselling Author of Battle Mountain ""Dead or Alive, cursed Texas Ranger Buck Dallas is one relentless badass. Jump on board for a wild ride!"" -DP Lyle, award-winning author of the Jake Longly and Cain/Harper thriller series and co-creator of the Outliers Writing University ""With the release of COMMANCERIA, Reavis Wortham has become the new master of Western Supernatural Suspense. COMMANCHERIA does for Western literature what Curt Russell's ""Bone Tomahawk"" did for film. In one fell swoop, Wortham lays the cornerstone, sets the bar, and elevates the Western Supernatural Suspense into the realm of literature. This is a one-night read. You will laugh, cringe, and cry, sometimes shocked, other times delighted, and ultimately entertained. A modern classic is born. COMMANCHERIA is that."" -W. Michael Gear and Kathleen O'Neal Gear, New York Times Bestselling Authors of Buffalo Justice ""I'll read anything Reavis Z. Wortham writes!"" -Marc Cameron, #1 New York Times Bestselling Author of the Arliss Cutter Novels ""... A hard ride into very dark territory to spin a yarn about a deeply weird west! Action-packed, twisty, and intensely enjoyable!"" -Jonathan Maberry, New York Times Bestselling Author of NecroTek: Cold War ""If legends are the bones of the West, then this book is its restless soul, that rare Western that honors its ghosts without taming them, beautiful and brutal, shot through with buckshot, mysticism and unvarnished dread."" -BARON BIRTCHER, Award-Winning Author of Knife River ""Wortham delivers yet again, showcasing his in-depth knowledge on Texas history and lore in Comancheria, a chilling horror twist on the classic Western novel that will leave readers of both genres craving the next one."" -TAYLOR MOORE, Author of Cold Trail ""There's a term we use in the west, the genuine article, and those words fit Reavis Z.
