Overview

This colouring book is designed to introduce the names of fruits and vegetables in English to young learners. In addition to colouring the images of food item, the child colours each word, letter by letter. This process will help the child memorise the shapes of the letters and be aware that letters are written in different shapes. The font (chalkboard) which we used in this book is an improved version of (Comic San Serif) which is highly recommended in schools as it is the best font for all learners, especially for children who have some challenges related to reading, mainly children with dyslexia. Although the book is mainly for colouring activities and introducing the words, it can also be used to improve the spelling competence of the learner. For this purpose, we added a final section with word-search puzzles for parents or teachers to help the young learner become more familiar with the written word. Key-answers are provided at the end of the book.
